Several years ago I was surprised to get a call from none other than Angela Hewitt, internationally acclaimed concert pianist, to tune her piano at her home here in Ottawa. She told me that her regular tuner, Don Cote RPT of 'Piano Works', suggested she call me as he was too busy to fit her in due to his very busy schedule and the fact that when she breezes into town she needs her piano tuned within a day or two. I recall her mother was there when I arrived and said, 'she has perfect pitch you know', but I was already aware of the magnitude of the situation! I tuned her piano figuring that it was a 'one off'. To my surprise she has contacted me again and again for tuning. It took me about a year to get up the nerve to ask her for an endorsement...here's what she said:

His tunings are very stable (in conjunction with a Dampp-Chaser which he also fitted for me), and he carries out his work professionally and cheerfully.
